When faced with the option of spending $100 or $30 got a processor of this capacity, I figured I would be crazy not to at least try the $30 (I went to my local Target to avoid the shipping fees). So far, I'm happy, but will likely upgrade in the next year or too. The aesthetic, low profile and weight are all excellent--no complaints.
I've used the slicing disk to cut a variety of vegetables with no real complaints. It has handled everything with relative ease--some smash up on the sides, but a million times faster and more consistent than by hand.
I haven't used the grating disk, but I'm skeptical of this feature in general.
The motor is powerful and so far my only problem is learning how powerful it is. I positively liquified onions the first time I tried to dice them. The real key is very quick pulses, and very few of them.
My only real problem, and the reason I will probably upgrade is that the blade sits relatively high, so if you need to puree or even chop something that is less than a cup, it will likely all fall below the blade and you will have to chop it by hand. In slightly larger batches, you might have to do a lot of opening and spatula-ing to make sure the larger chunks are on top so they can be cut finer. So this is not an ideal machine for pesto or nut chopping (the former requires a puree, the latter is heavy and usually done in small batches).
So if you dice/chop/slice a lot of vegatables, this is a great low cost machine, however it likely won't fulfill all of your kitchen's processor needs.

This is the most inexpensive six-cup food processor I've found. I've used it with many different foods (vegetables, herbs, nuts, etc.) and it's worked perfectly.
It's basic, but works well, is solidly constructed, and an absolute bargain at this price. I highly recommend it to anyone who's reluctant (or unable to) commit to a more expensive, higher-end model.

This food processor is good for chopping but the lower blade is positioned too high for pureeing foods. I tried to use it to make nut meal but there were always large chunks left at the bottom. Otherwise, it is powerful and easy to clean.

This food processor (my first ever) has quickly become my favorite kitchen appliance. I never realized that I had so many uses for it and find myself eager (yes eager) to use it daily.
It has an extremely sharp chopping blade (grinds nuts to powder in less than 5 seconds, perfect for making homemade nut butters) and veggies take only a few pulses until they are chopped small. Be careful of the blade when it is sitting in the sink ready to be washed- already cut myself reaching into the sink, proving how sharp it really is. The clean up is a breeze, soak in soapy water for a few minutes. It's lightweight, but very sturdy, making the constant in/out motion to/from the cabinets easy.
There are 2 downsides: (1) The chute is narrow, meaning that things like sweet potatoes must be halved vertically before being sliced, resulting in funny looking scalloped potatoes. (2) The shredder shreds SMALL! I was hoping for longer shreds of things like cabbage/carrots.
Overall, buy it. The size is perfect for a household of 1-4. Price is great for a fabulous appliance!

Folks... you'll find that, unless you're cooking for lots of folks on a
regualar basis.... that a 6-cup unit is really plenty. And, additionally... this unit is perfect. It's strong, well-designed, came
with the reversible grating and slicing disk. And, the price is off-the-charts fantastic! And, Amazon is a great place to shop... even if they send you to another Seller... it's a great place to start. Heck... you can find just about anything in Amazon. V
