Works Great! August 19, 2008 MinnesotaFan 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Living in an apartment makes grilling meals difficult. After craving burgers all summer, I finally broke down and bought this handy indoor grill. So far, we've made several meals on this grill. We use it a few times a week. Works great for chicken and hamburgers...flavor is good and doesn't dry out the meats. Also, used it for breakfast to make the french toast that comes in the recipe booklet (heavy for breakfast, but sooo good!) Clean up is a breeze as well. This a kitchen product I wouldn't trade!
Not worth it for the money!! April 28, 2008 Kerry Allivato (North Carolina) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I received this as a gift for Christmas, and now 4 months later it does not work anymore. The griddle worked well for pancakes, But it does heat very slow and the first batch would cook fast but would take a very long time for the second. The grill was ok, but again everything took a really long time. I never even put it in the dishwasher and now it doesn't work at all. I could send it back with the warranty, but I would have to pay the $12.00 shipping both ways. NOT WORTH IT!! I am buying the Wolfgang Puck grill from HSN for almost the same price. Very disappointed.
Not Hot Enough for Raclette February 17, 2008 M. Reber 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
Nifty and practical in it's design, but not hot enough. Grilling requires copious patient minutes, and the underslung heating for Raclette will just take the cheese from room temperature to somewhat glazed consistency. To produce a little crust on the cheese either takes longer than 20 minutes, or will never happen. The light brown baked surface on the top of the cheese really brings out the flavor. I tried this oven with authentic imported Raclette and with America Monterey Jack. It will melt the cheese enough to get it to flow, but that's after considerable time. Hope you like your guests, because there'll be plenty of chatting while you wait.
PRETTY AMAZING... February 3, 2008 Danyelle N. Scheibeck (Blacklick, OH United States) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
this thing is pretty amazing. i had been looking for a griddle that was medium size-ish, with removable plates and ran across this in a target store. i couldn't find any reviews for this, but i figured that for $50, i'd try it out and i am SO happy i did. the griddle/grill portion is heavy duty & very sturdy. it sits neatly in the base (which i line with foil so i don't have to wash it every time i use it). both sides have a non-stick coating, which is almost too non-stick if that's even possible. it has made fabulous eggs, burgers and grilled cheese - heating quickly & evenly. and best of all, everything (top and base) fits in the dishwasher. i highly recommend this product!!!
