Bum grill and horrible warranty service October 18, 2008

This is an 1800 watt grill, gets hotter than other grills I've had, so it cooks the food very quickly. It is easy to clean and store. I liked the grill very much. I purchased the first one on Ebay, so it didn't come with a warranty. The grill worked for about six months and quit, but I liked it so much, I bought another one off of Amazon from Hug the Cook brand new with a warranty. Well, this one worked for about 3 months and quit, so I contacted the company by telephone on the back of the operating manual and talked to a lady named Mayra who told me to FAX certain information and they through Fedex would send me a shipping label. I would return the bum grill and they would give me a new grill. That was in August, 2008, and to yet I have not received the shipping label. I have made other calls, sent more FAXes (4) and talked to other service people who have all made promises but no results. The bum grills continues to set under my credenza at my office and I continue to fume. In conclusion, DO NOT purchase a Breville product. They are more expensive than most, so you think you get what you pay for. WRONG. You are buying an expensive piece of crap. To make matters worse, they have terrible warranty service. I honestly don't know why they don't follow through with their promises but they don't. SO DO NOT BUY ONE OF THESE. TAKE MY WORD FOR IT.
