Product Description Your two favorite beverages (coffee and tea) can be made using this one machine. From Sanyo, this small appliance lets you brew coffee via a soft shower drip system for enhanced flavor. Use it, also, for brewing tea. A specially-designed basket circulates the water and tea leaves, capturing tea's true flavor. In addition to brewing, this Sanyo coffee and tea maker also comes with a built-in grinder so your coffee beans are ground right before brewing for exceptionally fresh flavor. A built-in charcoal filter also adds to the fresh tastes of your coffee and tea. A Keep Warm function keeps your beverage at the optimum temperature once brewed. The coffee and tea maker has a 6-cup capacity and comes with a removable water tank so you can fill at the sink. The unit, with its space-saving design, takes up minimal space on your countertop. Included is a bilingual instructional manual.

The worst coffe maker November 17, 2008 Virgilio P. Bato (New York) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is the worst coffee maker I ever bought. I had Braun and Black and Decker before so I tried this because it has a built in coffee grinder. But when I used it, it sucks, I almost throw it away, unfortunately because I already disposed the box before I tested it and I can't return it anymore, I had to open it inside and removed the check valve to make it work, other wise the water turn into steam before it reach the coffee. To make story short, I'm doing everybody a favor by letting you all this, save yourself an aggrevation and money.Don't buy this one!!Good luck!
Just right for my use October 18, 2008 Stovitch (Florida, USA) I've had this coffee maker a month now and use it daily. It makes excellant coffee. The basket inside the pot is different but not a problem once I got used to it. Once I had a few grounds in the coffee but then started removing the basket and dumping the grounds before pouring and solved that issue. A pause and serve would be a nice feature if you're in a big hurry, however, I don't miss that because it brews fast. The only improvement I would like to have is an auto shut off, but I've gotten used to making sure I cut it off when I get my last cup. The grinder is quiet and easy to clean since the grinding chamber lifts off the motor. One full pot provides me two xtra large mugs of coffee and one regular size mug for my wife. Overall this was the perfect coffee maker for us.
Most sensible coffeemaker yet. July 22, 2008 hat'n'gloves (Los Angeles, CA) After eyeing this product for over a year at a local retailer, I finally asked my children for one for Mother's Day this year. I make coffee about three times a week - in other words, I'm no addict or even particularly an aficionado - but I love this coffeemaker! Although the grinder is the simple sort, not burr type, it does well enough, and the removable grinder cup makes it a snap to keep clean. Unlike some combination grinder/brewers, there is no risk of steam ruining the grinding mechanism because the operations are well separated. The water well is easy to read and easy to fill, even without removing it from the body of the machine. It doesn't hurt either that there is a suggested guideline on how much water to add for iced coffee or tea. I actually like that the brewbasket fits into the carafe instead of being attached to the machine. This is a much cleaner design. The heating element does not turn itself off, so there might be old hot coffee, but never old cold coffee, unless you planned it that way. My only caution is regarding the #2 Medelco gold filter that so many users recommend. I just got mine in the mail and it is not a perfect fit. It definitely pops up. I really like the way this coffee maker looks, performs, and cleans up. Get your's through Amazon for the best price.
Geat little coffee maker for the money July 9, 2008 JT (down south) I love this little coffee maker. After five years my Hamilton Beach brew station finally died and my best friend bought me this one. Sure it doesn't make iced tea, unelss you brew the tea, put it in a seperate container and add ice. Yes you have to grind the beans then put them in the filter yourself, but these to me are small inconveniences, compared to what delicious coffee and tea this machine makes. The charcoal filter really does enhance the coffees flavor and the smell of fresh ground and then brewed fresh ground coffee is great to me. I could have bought another brewstation and they are great also, but this does so much more and the coffee tastes incredible. I highly recommend the Sanyo Coffee/tea maker for the price it does do what it says, except for a few extra steps you have to take. If you're that lazy why not run out to Starbucks and buy a cup of coffee? For the money you're getting a coffee maker, tea maker and a grinder, how much would all those cost seperately?
Sanyo SAC-MST6 Coffee Maker April 9, 2008 Oliver (Milwaukee, WI) This product is exactly as advertised. Coffee brews fast & hot. I love being able to fill water container and then just setting in its slot and not having to pour the water into yet another spot - no spills! Only issue is no auto-shut off, but I'm just using an automatic timer plugged into outlet. No problems with charcoal filter as others have had. Haven't used it to make tea yet, no comment there.
