Good low temperature control November 10, 2008

I'm a hobby massage therapist and use this roaster for heating my massage stones in a bath of water. I need to be able to regulate the temperature between 125 and 150 F. The heating elements are in the walls and not the floor of the roaster, so temps next to the edges tend to be a bit hotter than in the middle, but allowing for that, it works just fine. Haven't tried cooking with it yet, but thanksgiving is approaching.

This roaster works great and the clean up is easy. I am so happy I have this because it seems like each Thanksgiving and Christmas there are more people coming over and the turkey keeps getting bigger.
I agree on the burn off. It really stinks and you MUST do it before you use it. Don't let the burn off turn you away from this product. Its well worth it.
This Thanksgiving we are going out of town and I plan on buying a new one to use for Thanksgiving dinner. Little do the people know that I am going to be giving this as a house warming gift. They asked me to bring my roaster but I think I will give them one they can keep.
This is also good to use for a large pasta dinner. I used this for a fundraiser dinner and it was filled with sloppy Joe mix.
Over the summer I even used it to hold a fresh fruit salad. Just make sure you don't turn the roaster on.

I purchased this product in November of last year. I had hoped it would have arrived for Thanksgiving. It did not. When it did arrive the burn off took longer than the manual stated. I've used this roaster oven 2 times with success. The chicken was moist and tender. Now it doesn't
work. After plugging it in and setting the knob, it does not heat up at all. The return policy states that a product can only be returned in 30 days. That was very expensive way to cook 2 chickens.

Overall, a nice cooker at a good price.
Just wish the company would do a prior
burn-off of the cooking pan before
shipping to customer. Very nasty,
especially when outdoor space to do
it is limited.
