Amazon.com Review This handsome (and speedy) toaster delivers beautifully browned toast, waffles, or English muffins in 90 seconds flat, serving them up on a removable tray that doubles as a crumb tray, then transitions nicely to breakfast table or bar. The UL-listed Quik-Serve features the durable construction needed for heavy-duty office or hotel use, along with a sleek design that fits right into the most stylish home kitchen. (The single long slot fits two slices of toast at a time, keeping the toaster's profile narrow, long, and streamlined.) Sturdy plastic housing stays cool to the touch even with heavy use. Generous one-inch-wide slots accommodate even oversized bagels, electronic controls deliver even toasting at any of the six doneness settings, and a cancel button stops the toasting process. There's even a bagel setting that toasts the tops only. When the Quik-Serve is done toasting, its tray folds up for compact storage or removes for cleaning, while the cord storage keeps things neat on crowded countertops. This 1400-watt, 120-volt toaster measures 15 inches long by 6 inches deep by 10 inches tall and comes backed by a one-year limited warranty. --Mary Park

Not as expected October 8, 2008 James E. Holmes (Kentucky) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
West Bend 78224 Quik-Serve Toaster, Black While it may be somewhat quicker the toast looks more blackened than browned. It worked about twice then without out any attempt to adjust any settings it started toasting only one side. It would only work by holding down the bagel/bread switch. Good looking toaster with sound principles but needs more work.
Lame September 8, 2008 Toni Fusco (Tucson, AZ) For the price, this toaster is dreadful. You cannot adjust for a lightly browned piece of toast. Everythng comes out totally toasted or too dark no matter what setting you choose. No wonder it was on sale.
okay toaster July 4, 2008 Kathleen J. Kettle (Aromas, CA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
It is a great concept, and toasts okay. What I notice is that sometimes the toast gets stuck on its way out and it isn't easy to get it out once it is stuck because the mechanism inside is holding it. The other problem I see is that it leaves alot more crumbs all over the counter because they all come out the front along with the toast. When I first used it it smelled like melting plastic, that smell has since disappeared, but it was very strong at first.
Not a toaster, it's a bread warmer! December 20, 2007 Dennis L. Mackinder (Grand Junction, MI USA) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
I purchased this "toaster" because it was supposed to be a 1400 watt "quick serve" toaster. It's fast, but only at warming the bread. To toast bread it takes two or three cycles on the darkest setting (placing the bread back in the toasting slot). Even after the two or three attempts the bread is unevenly toasted. I sure wish I hadn't wasted the money on this item.
