Product Description When the demands of a family-size breakfast get you down, KitchenAid's spacious four-slice toaster has the answer. Extra wide slots easily accommodate thick slices of bread or bagels into self-centering bread racks, ensuring a perfectly even toast every time. Hassle-free one-year replacement warranty.

Disappointed November 30, 2008 M. Lawrenson (New Windsor, NY United States) We were eager to receive this new toaster as our 10 year old 2-slice toaster finally bit the dust. It's a nice looking appliance and blends in well. Though it takes up a lot of counter space. From the get-go we didn't like the way it toasted bagels, even after hitting the mystery bagel button (which we are convinced is just for show). Tops cook more than bottoms - go figure. This we could live with, but after only 6 weeks the lever on one side broke! And we are by no means rough on the toaster. In the process of contacting customer service to request replacement or refund. I'm thinking to go back to our old style - cheap, basic toaster but gets the job done. This toaster was just plain DISAPPOINTING.
Great product November 25, 2008 J. Maher 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love the clean lines and general over all look of this toaster. It toasts well on everything from bagels to thin sliced toast. Great product!
Nice big toaster October 27, 2008 LRM (MI) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This toaster is a very nice one. Like all toasters it takes some time getting used to the settings. The only thing that I dislike about this toaster is the size, it is bigger than my previous one.
Toasts Evenly September 15, 2008 RJ (Tucson, AZ United States) I was wondering if the extra cost was worth it for a toaster. It is possible to buy them cheaper in other places, but the even toasting, the wide slots for bagels (also works well with English muffins), and the sleek stainless steel exterior make it a great value. Just a word of note is the sides of the toaster stay cool while toasting. It was well worth the few extra dollars.
KitchenAid KMTT499SS September 8, 2008 Laszlo J. Garay (US) Solid well built machine. Only cons I can think of are: fingerprints and the toasting compartment could be a little deeper since the tops of what is being toasted are right at the upper limit of the machine. McDonald's pancakes stick up and stay cool. This may be an issue with most other units as well?
