 Not worth it November 27, 2008

Not a big fan of this roaster. First unit we had the themostat burnt out after the second use. We figured it was a fluke and bought another since we overall enjoyed the size and ease of cleaning. After third use we can smell the thermostat burning and we believe it will only be a matter of time before this one burns out. We will not be replacing it with anothe HB product.

I have previously owned this brand of roaster and other brands and after trying other, cheaper brands, came back to this one because of the durability of the Hamilton Beach brand. It also cooks faster than the other brands.

While this may be a good product for the listed price this sellers (AplusSmile)outrageous shipping charges brings this reasonabley priced unit to a VERY poor value for the money. Amazon marketplace should not allow this sort of underhanded pricing practices from their merchants.
Thr roaster oven that could'nt October 18, 2007

Just got it today. Very disappointing. Amazon site says it has preheat/on indicator light. I'm still looking for it. My other roaster ovens have solid feet. This has no feet. Only grommet like buttons that come out easily and don't push back in without a lot of force. Temp. control says it goes up to 450 degrees. It has been on 6 hours, and is touching about 420. Hamilton Beach must have sold out.
