 Lid Forms Poor Seal, Water Easily Boils Over October 28, 2008

A microwave ricer cooker really only serves two purposes: to hold the ingredients, and to keep water from boiling over.
The lid on this cooker forms a poor seal with the bowl, allowing starchy water to boil over the sides and spill into your microwave (regardless of the water level).
You're better off just using a pyrex bowl covered in plastic to cook your rice.

One perfect little pot! Works like a charm. I purchased this because of the great reviews. Well it is great. Thought I could make rice for a few dinners at a time, but I gotta tell you, it is so fast and easy, with especially easy clean up, I make a fresh batch each day! Good rice cooker. I had one before but it got ruined. This one actually cooks the rice faster than my other one. One cup is done in 10 mins. The rice in this comes out sticky and perfect. Have only used for white rice; don't know how it would work for brown. Shippping was quick.

This rice cooker is inexpensive, easy to use, and cooks rice perfectly every time! No burning! Be sure to keep the instruction booklet that accompanies the cooker so you'll remember how much water per cup of rice, as you can cook different amounts. I always store the measuring cup, spoon, and small instruction booklet inside the cooker, so everything is handy and ready each time I use it. I highly recommend this microwave rice cooker!

The Microwave Rice Cooker is great. We had one before but it was destroyed. We spent 2 months trying to replace it to no avail, We finally found it on line and bought 4 of them. One for us and 3 for friends. If you like perfect steamed rice, then this is the real deal. It takes 10 minutes and makes the best rice I have had. Also great for steaming vegetables in two or three minutes. The best is the 2 minute oatmeal!
