I recently purchased this Rival Rice Cooker (10-cup version). I used it four times over a two week period and then it died during the 4th use. I returned it for the same model and the replacement unit died during the 3rd use. Either I'm terribly unlucky or Rival's quality control department leaves a lot to be desired. Now, I'm back to using my old trusty Panasonic rice cooker that I've owned for 15 years. If the Rival had lasted reasonably longer, I would have given it a good rating because the rice that it did cook was perfect. Nevertheless, I have to give it a poor rating...I expected that at least one of them would have lasted longer that 3 or 4 uses.
