Amazon.com Review This round five-quart CrockPot slow cooks a wide variety of stews, soups, and roasts on its two cook settings, low and high, and also keeps food at perfect serving temperature on the warm setting. The heavy stoneware crock, which lifts out of the heating base, cleans easily thanks to a stick-resistant coating and is attractive enough to serve from right at the table. While the crock is safe for use in the microwave and dishwasher, it is not intended for use on a stovetop or under a broiler. Included with the CrockPot is a bonus Little Dipper, a miniature 1-1/2-cup electric pot that heats and holds dips and fondues at serving temperature. An attached 25-inch cord allows just enough reach for setting the pot on a counter or buffet. The dipper features a plastic lid but not a removable crock, so the pot needs to be washed out by hand without submerging in water. The larger CrockPot, which measures 7 by 14 by 12 inches with a 40-inch power cord, is topped by a dishwasher-safe glass lid, which sends moisture back into the pot while at the same time allows contents to be viewed. The loop-style lid knob and sure-grip handles are heat resistant and easy to grasp. The set is covered by a one-year warranty. --Ann Bieri

Perfect size for a family of four September 16, 2008 M.M (USA) I was looking for a slow cooker that would accommodate a family of four I was not sure a 5 quart would be large enough but it turns out it was plenty large enough and with some leftovers. I selected the stainless steel model because it is rust and stain resistant. Some of the reviews were saying that the cooker gets too hot I didn't notice that it seems to cook just fine at perfect temperatures I like the fact that the pot comes out of the cooker and you can move it to the table or to the refrigerator after it cools. Great price and good quality
Great Crock Pot May 20, 2008 George W. Egger (Danville, IL United States) Crock pot was all that the ad said it was and it works just great.
No problems - great results March 30, 2008 K. Ottoson (Colorado USA) I have had wonderful results with this Crock Pot and have adapted recipes from various cookbooks, particularly 1001 Low-Fat Soups and Stews by Sue Spitler. It cooks evenly, cleans up easily, looks great--I have no complaints.

On my own. January 29, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My wife passed away this past summer so now I am on my own for meals. She was a wonderful cook so we did not go out to eat a lot. The teflon coating on her old crockpot was faking so it was time for a replacement. I have used the new Rival only once but it worked great and my family is surprised that I can prepare a tasty meal.
