Tea maker is a bit smaller than other products but I find it brews a nice pot of tea in a reasonable amount of time with little to no messy dripping. Since the container is small, the te tends to be a little stronger than expected when using 2 family size tea bags. Overall this is a good product for the price.
Salton KM44 - Pitcher cracks in dishwasher with heated dryer March 18, 2008

I've had a Salton KM44 tea maker for several years and have liked it. It works great and is quick to brew. I like also that I can choose to make both coffee or iced tea.
The only drawback I have had is that the pitcher doesnt like the dishwasher dryer. It deforms and cracks with the DW dryer on. I have replaced it once and since have forgotten and ruined the second pitcher. It still receives the lid, but very tight and the pouring spout is cracked so it leaks.
I am ready to buy a new replacement pitcher and would hope by now they are making new ones to be dishwasher proof. -RSP

I've tried them all. This is the best one. It takes up the least amount of space and the design is excellent. I use one large tea bag, brew the tea, and then fill up the rest of the container with water instead of ice. I put it in the refrigerator and when it gets cold, I have the perfect glass of iced tea.

Although it is only 2 liters, this iced tea maker is great! I love the fact that it works like a coffee maker and drips into the top center of the pitcher. I have had so many problems with leaking with the other style makers, since you only insert the pour spout into the maker, that it's great not to have to worry about that. I also love the idea that it only takes up the same amount of counter space as a coffee maker, and you don't need extra space for the pitcher sitting in front of it. Over-all, I think the positives really outway the negatives on this one!
