Don't Buy from Wine Enthusiast! November 28, 2008 pbcmbeez2 Wished i have checked this site first. 9 months old and stopped working. Efforts to get help from Wine Enthusiast were met with "we can't help you". I would not ever consider any product from Wine E any more.
Lousy Merchandise October 26, 2008 Cord Kirshner (Birdland) Never cycled despite the claims of the manual. Even when set at the highest temp, still ran continuously (sigh). So kept it at a fixed 60 F and it ran for about 14 months, and then stopped working. Out of warranty, no service offered, no parts available, out of luck and out $200. Very disappointing and so not green. One star is being generous.
Kinda cool wine September 30, 2008 Terry (Santa Fe, NM) We installed the cooler in a relatively small space but found that we needed much more space around it than is recommended to get to and maintain a cool temperature. Even then, the motor keeps going non-stop.
Save your money - pick another product September 9, 2008 Kimberly Hrehor (Houston, Texas) My husband bought me this wine refrigerator for Christmas in 2006. We set it up easily and began using it. The temperature setting was easy to adjust and it was a nice size for our needs. It looked nice too. Unfortunately, after about 18 months (after the warranty expired) the product stopped cooling. I went to open a bottle of wine one evening and found it to be warm. I emailed Wine Enthusiast asking about service or replacement parts, they never responded to my request. We are currently researching a replacement - it won't be from Wine Enthusiast.
Do not buy this September 4, 2008 M. Swanson (Costa Mesa, CA) My first unit lasted about 5 months, and I had it replaced under warranty costing me about $40 or so in shipping costs and about a month's time. The replacement lasted about a year before it just suddently stopped working. The unit is quiet, so I didn't notice that it quit working until I saw the temp was at 81. I wonder how long it was out before I noticed? Customer service has yet to respond to my inquiry - it's been about a week now. Bad product is matched by bad customer service.
