Product Description Whipped into its sleekest shape ever with a black chrome-colored base, this striking and powerful 7-speed blender is the best choice when it comes to drinks, soups, sauces and dips. The 350-watt motor spins razor sharp blades that handle virtually any food, even ice. A pulse option allows you to control the consistency of your final product. Simply fill the 5-cup glass container with your favorite ingredients and blend with the push of a button. Three-year limited warranty.
Amazon.com Review With a 350-watt motor to easily crush ice and touch-pad controls offering seven speeds, including pulse, this blender not only creates frosty cocktails, smoothies, ice-cream shakes, and other drinks, but also mixes smooth soups and sauces, chops bread crumbs and nuts, grinds hard cheeses, emulsifies salad dressings, and produces party dips. (Recipes included.) The 5-cup glass container and the heavy base (made of plastic but resembling brushed chrome) spell durability and look great on bar or counter. Fully assembled, the blender stands 15 inches high, and its oblong base measures 8-1/4 inches deep. The glass container, plastic lid with its 2-ounce measuring insert, and stainless-steel blade are dishwasher-safe. The blender carries a three-year warranty against defects. --Fred Brack

what a GREAT BUY!!! thanks to last reviewer.. November 22, 2008 Snufulluffagus looks like I might have bought the last reviewers blender!! I got mine at good will for .. yes.. $1!!!! thankyou! work great for the price I paid.
Very good but not perfect November 18, 2008 Bunson Honeydew (White Plains, NY) In my humble opinion, most of blenders are not great. The motors are not powerful to chop through heavy amounts ice and frozen fruit. I've burned through a couple of cheap Hamilton Beach ones. So if you are doing a lot of entertaining, you might want to look at a commercial one. Use your head. You may need to pulse it a few time to shave the frozen stuff down. Or you can slowly add ice after you blended the other igredients. Also, you should look at the recipe book. The recipe book gives you hints on how to "layer" the ingredients.I made some awesome hummus by following their directions. As I said earlier, if you are doing heavy blending work with ice you may need a professional unit. I have heard some of the high end Warings fit the bill.
fried fast November 18, 2008 Richard Seligman The blender was only adequate until it burned up. The food processor was slow and noisy very unlike a real cuisinart I am so glad it cooked I now have an excuse to buy something real Cuisinart SPB-7PK SmartPower 40-Ounce 7-Speed Electronic Blender, Pink
Easy Burnout September 17, 2008 A. B. Church (Southwest Connecticut, USA) Fortunately I won't have to live with the cheap looks of this pitiful appliance any longer! I thought I was taking care not to overheat the motor, always processing small amounts for short periods of time, but in less than 2 years of very light use (at a house I only visit on summer weekends) the SmartPower Blender quit working right in the middle of a job. No smoke, no smell, no grinding noises, no signs of trouble... I let it rest as usual between pulses and it simply never started again. I've repaired numerous gadgets in my life, but this one goes directly into the trash. Meanwhile my old Waring works like a horse! Probably fine for stirring Kool-Aid, otherwise not recommended.
One day it just would not turn on..... September 17, 2008 kaizer Inexpensive blender and it shows. Had it for about 2 years and then one day it just would not turn on. In the trash.
