Beautiful Blender December 24, 2008 Tango Static (San Jose, CA) I tossed my last blender because I thought the motor was burned out. It wasn't. The power was off. So I bought this unit. The spec's appealed to me. Glass jar, powerful motor. Very nice design. I plan to keep this forever. (It won't work without power.)
Strong and reliable November 12, 2008 Danilo A. Almeida (Provo, UT USA) Very strong blender, it has great grip and works and looks great. The first day it smelled funny and I thought maybe there was a problem, but nothing happened so I am probably just not all there. I prepared some smoothies and mouses and once I crushed ice too and it worked for all of it, without any trouble.
Maybe it works with a full blender jar, but ... October 24, 2008 Terry94705 (Berkeley CA) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
Maybe this blender works well with a full blender jar, but I bought it for my morning smoothies-- a cup or so of yogurt, a handful of fruit and 2-3 ice cubes. It does an OK job, but takes a while longer than my old beehive (RIP). From the comments from the margarita makers, I expected it to pulverize the ice more quickly, but there are always pebbles left in my drink. So maybe a design that is effective for big batches is not necessarily good for projects of 16 oz or less. It is nice looking. UPDATE: 10 weeks later. If I could change my rating I would take away two stars. Recently I had a chance to test it on larger load and it failed miserably. It could not blend 24 oz of thinly sliced, overcooked russet potatoes in broth. I could have done it easily by hand but instead tried for the "convenience" of using the blender. Just made more mess to clean up. So... no good for small jobs, useless at big jobs. The big tragedy is that my old blender probably still had more useful life in it than this thing.
Blender Dream September 22, 2008 Rosemary Pappert (Metro Kansas City) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I was sad when my previous blender went by the way side, but it was a serendipity to be sure! My new blender is sleeker, quieter running and does a better job, especially with smoothies. It has special buttons for shakes, smoothies, and icy drinks that are just great. I would definitely recommend Hamilton Beach 52277 Classic Chrome 12-speed Blender.
Cool Looking Powerful Blender August 18, 2008 ACM (TX USA) Easy Assembly and cleaning. Powerful 800W motor yet only need to use the Low output mode for perfect blending on food with medium thick consistency. Excellent on crushing ice.
