Amazon.com Review With a capacity of 2.36 ounces, this sleek machine employs stainless-steel blades to grind enough coffee beans for brewing up to twelve 5-ounce cups of percolator, drip, or espresso coffee. The grinder can be filled with beans and the amount of beans it grinds can be selected with a dial that's calibrated by number of cups desired: 4, 6, 8, 10, or 12. During operation, lights above the on/off button flash on the grind selector, indicating when the grind is coarse, medium, or fine, permitting the grinder to be shut off when the desired grind is achieved. The grind selector displays the words "coarse," "medium," and "fine" along with the brewing method appropriate for each grind: respectively, "perc" (percolator), "drip," and "espresso." Clad in gleaming black plastic with matte silver accents, the hourglass-shaped grinder is thoroughly contemporary in appearance and has a rubberized grip and push-in cord storage. Rubberized feet prevent it from slipping during operation. It carries a one-year warranty against defects. --Fred Brack

Just what I wanted! November 22, 2008 Kerry J. Hanratty I knew what I wanted and was happy I could get it at Amazon for a reasonable price. It was delivered in a timely manner and I am using it with pleasure. One thing though: Just under ten dollars for shipping is exessive. Kinda felt like I was being taken advantage of.
A bit over-priced for what you get October 1, 2008 Christine E. Nattrass (New Haven, CT United States) I got this because I had a burr grinder that couldn't do an espresso grind and a regular grinder that took a while to do an espresso grind. I also had a $30 gift card for a store I never buy anything at so I was looking for something I would use. I actually thought I was getting a burr grinder, since $30 is rather expensive for a grinder which just has a spinning blade and the description on the other web site was rather sparse. What is nice is that the espresso grind works very well. It may be the cheapest option out there that does a good espresso grind. Other, cheaper grinders can do it, but you have to know how long to grind, whereas this one tells you when the grind is right. What stinks about this grinder is that you have to hold down the button until the "espresso" light comes on. If you are only after a coffee grinder for a drip coffee maker or a French press, get a cheaper grinder such as this Proctor Silex E160B Fresh Grind Coffee Grinder, White or a burr grinder. Burr grinders with a hopper for the ground coffee can handle more volume and make less mess, but the cheaper ones don't do an espresso grind. This one may be the cheapest one that gets to the espresso grind right easily, but it doesn't handle volume and it's hard to get the coffee out without making at least a little bit of a mess.
Nice spice grinder August 18, 2008 J. Northcutt (Detroit, MI USA) Works well, turns dried products to powder and can grind hard spices as well. Only negative is that the Cup/container doesn't remove to be cleaned, but it's quite easy to clean with a paper towel.
It never worked and I had destroyed the box to return it August 15, 2008 John S. Bailey 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
It never work big paper weight I destroyed the box so I couldn't return it. I will never by a grinder again off the internet. They are not reliable you need a face and a place to return them. I have learned my lesson. I was a big internet purchaser this grinder and a the WORKS GT have taught me a lesson.
Good while it lasts.......... July 6, 2008 B. Ellenburg (USA) Purchased May 2007 - Dead July 2008.....while it worked it did a good job. But in the middle of a grind it went belly up......only the green lights flash on occasion.....cant recommend this grinder at all
